Maria Dziembowska focuses on efforts to implement financing strategies that accelerate improvements in land and water quality within the Delaware and Chesapeake Bay watersheds. Working with stakeholders and producers, Maria manages projects that realize measurable environmental benefits, including progress toward meeting municipal stormwater requirements and advancement toward corporate water goals. Previously, Maria worked with The Nature Conservancy, guiding conservation priorities and strategies for protecting and restoring human and natural communities across the state of Delaware. She built partnerships to address critical conservation issues and advanced urban conservation projects, strengthening historically underserved populations connections with nature.
With a Master of Arts in Sociology from UCLA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Haverford College, Maria is dedicated to driving impactful, research-based approaches that inspire conservation solutions, bridging community needs with effective environmental action.
